Koutsoupia is located in the eastern part of Kefalonia, along the shoreline of Sami to Poros. It has white sand and small pebbles, it’s with turquoise, deep, clear waters. Covered up in a verdant scenery, It is surrounded by evergreen trees that reach the pebbles, mainly oaks and cypresses, and koutsoupies, as is evidenced by its name.
You can reach the beach by sea if you have a vessel, since it’s located at a relatively short distance from Sami town and Antisamos. @ioniancaptains who are based in Sami can help you in the process. Furthermore, daily boat trips in the wider surrounding area of the ionian Sea usually stop at Koutsoupia for diving and swimming.
You can still get here on foot by hiking, directly through the sami network hiking trails that were recently cleaned by @outdoor_kefalonia_activities. However, the hike is considered a very important and long distance, approximately 4h, depending on the pace. Hence, hikers should prepare their supplies likewise.
As it is an unorganized virgin beach, visitors should be responsible and contribute to the maintenance of its beauty by not polluting and always collecting their garbage. Please respect our natural environment.
Embrace the serenity and embrace the extraordinary as you explore this hidden coastal treasure.
