Avithos beach is located in the area “Livathos” area near Argostoli and in order to reach it you need tk drivw throughthe Village of Svoronata. It is a beautiful, well-organized beach with fine, Reddish-Golden sand that has a beach bar, cova_beach_bar , sunbeds & umbrellas, shower and lifeguard. Right across the horizon, you can see the islet of Dias (Zeus) with its small church that stands on top, and the island of Zakynthos.
The beach has an impressive mountain background with lush vegetation that makes the vibe of the beach unique.
On a Windy day, water has the ability to change its color because of the existence of Clay. Don’t get surprised.
Avithos is the ideal environment for families with children because of its shallow waters. In fact, Avithos in Greek means “No Bottom”.
