Megas Lakos Beach in Kefalonia: Megas Lakos is a seashore on the western side of Kefalonia, right next to the cosmopolitan beach of Xi, with whom it shares a lot of common elements. The beach features a soft red-colored sandy shore, along with some mud/clay spots near the crystal clear waters! Plus, it has quite a shallow seabed, making it a perfect choice for families with kids!
The beach of Megas Lakos is semi-organized, offering some sunbed pairs and sun umbrellas to rent at inexpensive rates, as well as two beachside bars, ideal for a coffee drink, a quick snack, or a refreshing cold beer! In contrast with the neighboring Xi Beach, Megas Lakos is much less a crowded shore than a quiet one, so it is a prime choice for some added privacy with views towards the islet of Vardiani!
